South Holston River

The South Holston River, a 17-mile tailwater, offers some of the best wild brown trout fishing worldwide. Noteworthy for its high number days and potential for landing big fish, it boasts over 6,000 fish per mile. Anglers of all skill levels can enjoy this river, renowned for its prolific hatches, including BWOs in winter and early spring, and sulphers from May to October. Depending on generation schedules, we offer wade trips and floats.

Watauga River

Originating in Western NC and dammed in Elizabethton, TN, this river is known for its high fish counts and is arguably one of the most scenic floats. The mid to late April black grannum caddis hatch sets the stage for excellent fishing, followed by exceptional terrestrial fishing in summer for trophy browns and rainbows. Additionally, the lower reaches of the river provide opportunities for multiple species days, including striped bass among others.

Holston River

This tailwater river is a smallmouth bass fisherman’s paradise, offering the most consistent smallmouth fishing in the Southeast. With controlled flows and water temperatures throughout the year, it provides excellent conditions. The river teems with bug life, including Hellgrammites, Damselflies, and Mayflies, resulting in abundant topwater opportunities. Baitfish and crawfish populations are plentiful. Expect to encounter true trophy smallmouth in the 4-5lbs range. All skill levels can enjoy chasing the prized Bronze Backs against a backdrop of stunning wildlife.

Small Streams

In the captivating region of North East TN, anglers can explore an abundance of extraordinary small streams. Achieving a “Trout Slam” is possible, with Rainbow, Brown, and Brook Trout all in a day’s fishing. These wade-only opportunities offer unparalleled solitude and breathtaking beauty, making them ideal for those seeking to escape and reconnect with nature.

Nolichucky River

Not only is this river one of the most stunning in the area, but it also offers superb smallmouth bass fishing. While the Nolichucky River is home to elusive Musky, pursuing these toothy predators requires high risk for high reward during certain times of the year. Fishing enthusiasts looking for an adrenaline rush will find excitement and challenge on these waters.
